🍰 Heavenly Bethmännchen

Ingredients
- 250 g marzipan paste
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 40 g poppy seeds
- 1 egg white
- 2 drops rose water
- 150 g halved, peeled almond kernels
- 100 g apricot jam
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 120 degrees Celsius fan mode.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Knead the marzipan base with the powdered sugar and poppy seeds until smooth.
- 4. Add the egg white and rose water and mix well.
- 5. Form small balls with a diameter of 2 to 3 centimeters.
- 6. Press three halved almonds into the side of each ball.
- 7. Place the shapes on the tray.
- 8. Bake them in the preheated oven for 12 minutes until light brown.
- 9. Remove them and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- 10. Warm the apricot jam in a small saucepan.
- 11. Brush the cooled balls with the liquid jam.
- 12. Let them dry for a short time.
