  5. 5. Deglaze the pan by pouring in the red wine and stirring briefly.
  6. 6. Add the balsamic vinegar.
  7. 7. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 10 minutes over low heat.
  8. 8. If the pan becomes too dry, add a little water.
  9. 9. Season the onions with salt and pepper to finish.
  10. 10. Wash the tomatoes and remove the hard stem area.
  11. 11. Slice the tomatoes into even slices.
  12. 12. Wash the leaf salad and shake it dry thoroughly.
