🍽️ Potato Mash Bread with Fried Porcini Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 250 g floury potatoes
- salt
- 2 large slices dark bread
- 20 g butter
- 150 g porcini mushrooms
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp freshly chopped thyme
- pepper (from the mill)
- 60 ml milk
- nutmeg
- thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and steam them for about 30 minutes until they are soft.
- 2. Cut the bread slices in half and spread both halves generously with butter. Clean the porcini mushrooms, slice them thinly, and fry them in hot oil for 1 to 2 minutes. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
- 3. Peel the cooked potatoes and mash them finely. Stir in the hot milk until a creamy mash forms. Season with salt and ground nutmeg. Form small balls from the mash, place them on the bread bases, top with the mushrooms, and serve garnished with fresh thyme.
