  1. 1. Wash the lettuce thoroughly, remove any wilted leaves, and tear the leaves into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. Wash the radishes, trim off the green tops, and slice the radishes into very thin rounds.
  3. 3. Wash the bell pepper, cut it in half lengthwise, remove the seeds and white inner membranes, and slice the flesh into thin strips.
  4. 4. Spread the lettuce on the bread slices, spread the cottage cheese on top, arrange the pepper strips, cucumber slices, and radishes on top, season with salt and pepper, and serve the bread garnished with fresh cress.
