  4. 4. Place the cleaned fruit together with the lemon juice into a food mill.
  5. 5. Press the mixture through the mill until a smooth puree forms.
  6. 6. Measure the puree amount.
  7. 7. If there is less than 1250 milliliters, add water.
  8. 8. Ensure you have exactly 1250 milliliters of liquid at the end.
  9. 9. Pour the fruit mixture into a large pot.
  10. 10. Add the jam sugar.
  11. 11. Place the pot on the stove.
  12. 12. Stir the mixture constantly.
  13. 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  14. 14. Let the jam bubble vigorously for four minutes.
  15. 15. Remove the pot from the heat.
  16. 16. Fill the hot jam into the prepared jars.
  17. 17. Fill the jars to the brim.
  18. 18. Seal the jars tightly with the lids.
  19. 19. Place the sealed jars upside down.
  20. 20. Let the jars stand on their lids for ten minutes.
  21. 21. Turn the jars back over.
  22. 22. Let the jam cool down completely.
