🍳 Homemade Berry Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg strawberries
- 1 kg currants (black and red)
- 1 kg blackberries
- 1 kg red gooseberries
- 4 kg jam sugar (1:1)
- 4 untreated lemons (juice)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the berries under cold water.
- 2. Remove all stems and leaves.
- 3. Cut the strawberries into small cubes.
- 4. Carefully pick the redcurrants off the stems.
- 5. Take a bowl for each type of berry.
- 6. Add the same amount of jam sugar to each type of berry.
- 7. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over each mixture.
- 8. Stir each mixture well.
- 9. Let the bowls stand for one hour.
- 10. This allows the flavors to blend well.
- 11. Put the berry mixture into a cooking pot.
- 12. Place the pot on the stove burner.
- 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 14. Let the jam bubble vigorously for four minutes.
- 15. Rinse the jars with hot water.
- 16. Fill the hot jam into the warm jars.
- 17. Seal the jars tightly with lids.
- 18. Place the jars upside down for ten minutes.
- 19. Then turn the jars right side up.
- 20. Let the jam cool down completely.
- 21. Store the jars in a cool and dark place.
