  1. 1. Rinse the berries under cold water.
  2. 2. Remove all stems and leaves.
  3. 3. Cut the strawberries into small cubes.
  4. 4. Carefully pick the redcurrants off the stems.
  5. 5. Take a bowl for each type of berry.
  6. 6. Add the same amount of jam sugar to each type of berry.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over each mixture.
  8. 8. Stir each mixture well.
  9. 9. Let the bowls stand for one hour.
  10. 10. This allows the flavors to blend well.
  11. 11. Put the berry mixture into a cooking pot.
  12. 12. Place the pot on the stove burner.
  13. 13. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  14. 14. Let the jam bubble vigorously for four minutes.
  15. 15. Rinse the jars with hot water.
  16. 16. Fill the hot jam into the warm jars.
  17. 17. Seal the jars tightly with lids.
  18. 18. Place the jars upside down for ten minutes.
  19. 19. Then turn the jars right side up.
  20. 20. Let the jam cool down completely.
  21. 21. Store the jars in a cool and dark place.
