🍽️ Crispy Berry Puff Pastry Strips

Ingredients
- 400 g puff pastry (frozen)
- 1 egg yolk
- baking paper
- dried legume
- 300 g mixed berries (e.g. raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries)
- 1 tbsp pistachios
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees.
- 2. Let the puff pastry thaw side by side.
- 3. Lightly brush the dough sheets with water.
- 4. Stack the sheets on top of each other.
- 5. Roll the dough into a rectangle approx. 25 x 40 cm.
- 6. Cut strips approx. 2.5 cm wide from all sides.
- 7. Brush the edge of the dough with egg yolk.
- 8. Place the cut strips as a frame on top.
- 9. Press the strips firmly.
- 10. Brush the entire surface with egg yolk.
- 11. Prick the base several times with a fork.
- 12. Line with baking paper.
- 13. Weigh down the baking paper with legumes.
- 14. Bake the base in the preheated oven for approx. 20 - 25 min.
- 15. Wash the berries.
- 16. Remove bad parts.
- 17. Pat the berries dry.
- 18. Distribute the berries and the pistachios on the puff pastry.
- 19. Cut the strips into pieces to serve.
