🍽️ Bavarian Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 stale whole wheat roll
- 1 onion
- 3 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 600 g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp hot mustard
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Place the bread roll in a bowl and cover it with lukewarm water.
- 2. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
- 3. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté the onion cubes until they are soft and translucent.
- 4. Finely chop the parsley and stir it into the sautéed onions.
- 5. Squeeze the soaked bread roll firmly with your hands until no water remains.
- 6. Add the minced meat, the egg, the mustard, the squeezed bread roll, and the onion-parsley mixture to a large bowl.
- 7. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 8. Knead all ingredients well with your hands until a homogeneous mass is formed.
- 9. Shape the meat mixture into small, flat meatballs.
- 10. Heat some oil in a large pan and fry the meatballs on all sides until golden brown.
- 11. Reduce the heat to a low setting and let the meatballs cook through with the lid closed.
- 12. Serve the finished meatballs with pretzels and radishes.
