🍽️ Aromatic Saffron Basmati Rice

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 200 g basmati rice
- 500 ml chicken broth (also instant)
- 1 pinch saffron powder (0.1 g)
- 40 g raisins
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and the garlic clove.
- 2. Cut the vegetables into small cubes.
- 3. Heat some olive oil in a pot.
- 4. Add a piece of butter to the hot oil.
- 5. Add the onion and garlic cubes to the pot.
- 6. Sauté the vegetables briefly until they are soft and translucent.
- 7. Stir in the rice so that it coats with the fat.
- 8. Pour the broth into the rice mixture.
- 9. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 10. Cover the pot with a lid.
- 11. Let the rice simmer on very low heat for 5 minutes.
- 12. Stir in the saffron and the raisins.
- 13. Let the rice swell for another 10 minutes until it is cooked.
