  1. 1. Fry the salmon in a grill pan over medium heat on both sides. This takes a total of 6 to 8 minutes. Season the fish with salt and pepper beforehand. Pat it dry with kitchen paper first.
  2. 2. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling, salted water. Cook the pasta until al dente, as indicated on the package. Drain the water and let the pasta drain well.
  3. 3. Wash the fresh basil and shake it dry. Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into quarters. Crush the basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan in a mortar. Stir in the olive oil until a fine pesto forms.
  4. 4. Cut the sun-dried tomatoes into thin strips. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan. Add the drained spaghetti and warm it while stirring.
  5. 5. Stir the cream into the pan. Let the pasta mixture simmer lightly for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir the pesto into the pasta. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. 6. Plate the spaghetti on plates. Place the fried salmon fillets on top. Garnish the dish with the sun-dried tomato strips and fresh basil leaves.
