🍽️ Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 50 g butter
- 50 g honey
- 20 ml straw rum (60 %)
- 1 orange (squeezed)
- 0.5 lemon (squeezed)
- 1 tbsp orange peel
- herbs (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the banana halves briefly on both sides until seared. Pour the honey over them and let them caramelize slightly. Deglaze with the rum and flambé briefly. Add the orange and lemon juice and let the sauce simmer for a short while.
- 3. Plate the bananas with the sauce. Garnish with the orange zest and serve with fresh herbs if desired.
