🍽️ Balsamic Honey Onions

Ingredients
- 600 g shallots
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 200 ml good, dry red wine
- 60 ml balsamic vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp honey
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallots and the garlic. Finely chop the garlic. Fry the shallots in hot olive oil in a pot until they are light brown on all sides.
- 2. Deglaze the pot with red wine and vinegar. Add the garlic and bay leaves. Let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to let the liquid evaporate. Then stir in the honey and lightly salt the onions. Serve them lukewarm or cold.
