🍽️ Crispy Baguette Slices with Brie, Pear, and Walnuts

Ingredients
- 60 g peeled walnut kernels
- 2 pears (e.g. Williams Christ)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 200 g brie
- 1 whole grain baguette
- pepper (from the mill)
- thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Set the heating function to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Place the walnuts in a hot pan without oil or butter. Toast them briefly until they are fragrant.
- 3. Remove the walnuts from the pan and let them cool down completely.
- 4. Coarsely chop the cooled walnuts into small pieces.
- 5. Peel the pears and cut them into quarters.
- 6. Remove the core from the pear quarters.
- 7. Cut the pear flesh into small cubes.
- 8. Place the pear cubes in a bowl and mix them with the lemon juice immediately. This prevents the pears from turning brown.
- 9. Remove the rind from the Brie cheese.
- 10. Cut the Brie into small cubes.
- 11. Mix the Brie cubes with the pears and walnuts in a bowl.
- 12. Slice the baguette into thin pieces.
- 13. Evenly top the baguette slices with the cheese-pear-walnut mixture.
- 14. Place the topped baguettes into the preheated oven.
- 15. Bake the baguettes until golden brown and crispy.
- 16. Remove the baguettes from the oven.
- 17. Season the hot baguettes with black pepper.
- 18. Garnish the baguettes with fresh thyme sprigs.
- 19. Serve the baguettes immediately while warm.
