  4. 4. Coarsely chop the cooled walnuts into small pieces.
  5. 5. Peel the pears and cut them into quarters.
  6. 6. Remove the core from the pear quarters.
  7. 7. Cut the pear flesh into small cubes.
  8. 8. Place the pear cubes in a bowl and mix them with the lemon juice immediately. This prevents the pears from turning brown.
  9. 9. Remove the rind from the Brie cheese.
  10. 10. Cut the Brie into small cubes.
  11. 11. Mix the Brie cubes with the pears and walnuts in a bowl.
  12. 12. Slice the baguette into thin pieces.
  13. 13. Evenly top the baguette slices with the cheese-pear-walnut mixture.
