🍽️ Crispy Chicken with Butter Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 chicken
- 4 rolls (from the day before)
- 2 eggs
- 80 g flour
- paprika powder (sweet)
- 2 l oil (for frying)
- 1 kg starchy potatoes
- 40 g butter
- 150 g whipping cream
- salt
- pepper (nutmeg)
- 500 g green beans
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and rinse them under running water.
- 2. Place the potatoes in a pot with salted water.
- 3. Boil the potatoes for 25 minutes until they are tender.
- 4. Drain the cooking water.
- 5. Add butter and cream to the potatoes.
- 6. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- 7. Mash the potatoes with a masher until smooth.
- 8. Wash the green beans and trim off the hard ends.
- 9. Boil the beans in heavily salted water for 8 minutes.
- 10. Drain the beans.
- 11. Wash the chicken and pat it dry with kitchen paper.
- 12. Cut the chicken into eight pieces.
- 13. Remove the skin from the chicken pieces.
- 14. Whisk the eggs with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
- 15. Grate the breadcrumbs finely.
- 16. Spread the flour on a plate.
- 17. Pour the egg mixture onto a second plate.
- 18. Place the breadcrumbs on a third plate.
- 19. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour first.
- 20. Dip the floured pieces into the egg mixture.
- 21. Roll the pieces in the breadcrumbs last.
- 22. Fry the breaded chicken pieces in batches in hot oil.
- 23. Fry the pieces for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 24. Remove the chicken pieces from the oil.
- 25. Let the pieces drain on a plate.
- 26. Place the chicken on the plates.
- 27. Add a portion of mashed potatoes.
- 28. Add the green beans.
- 29. Serve the dish immediately.
