🍳 Ayurveda Breakfast with Porridge and Apples

Ingredients
- 20 g ginger (1 piece)
- 120 g fine 5-grain flakes (or oat flakes)
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 200 g tart apples (1 tart apple)
- 150 g pears (1 pear)
- 1 tsp ghee
- cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger and grate it finely.
- 2. Add the flakes, the grated ginger, and 500 milliliters of water to a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes while stirring. Sweeten to taste with maple syrup.
- 3. Wash the apple and pear and dry them. Cut the fruits into quarters, remove the cores, and slice them into wedges.
- 4. Heat the ghee (clarified butter) in a second pot. Add the apple and pear wedges and simmer over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Season with cinnamon.
- 5. Layer the porridge and the stewed fruit alternately in glasses.
