  1. 1. Peel the ginger and grate it finely.
  2. 2. Add the flakes, the grated ginger, and 500 milliliters of water to a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes while stirring. Sweeten to taste with maple syrup.
  3. 3. Wash the apple and pear and dry them. Cut the fruits into quarters, remove the cores, and slice them into wedges.
  4. 4. Heat the ghee (clarified butter) in a second pot. Add the apple and pear wedges and simmer over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Season with cinnamon.
  5. 5. Layer the porridge and the stewed fruit alternately in glasses.
