  1. 1. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon and place it in a bowl.
  2. 2. Mash the avocado flesh roughly with a fork.
  3. 3. Wash the tomatoes and pat them dry. Cut them into quarters, remove the hard stem ends and seeds. Dice the flesh finely. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  4. 4. Rinse the lime under hot water and dry it. Grate 2 teaspoons of zest, halve the fruit and squeeze out the juice.
  5. 5. Stir three-quarters of the diced tomatoes, the yogurt, and the garlic into the avocado puree. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, 2 to 3 tablespoons of lime juice, and the lime zest. Sprinkle the remaining diced tomatoes over the dip.
