  1. 1. Let the tomatoes drain over a small bowl to catch the oil. Then dice the tomatoes into very small cubes.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and dice it finely as well. Take one teaspoon of the tomato oil and heat it in a coated pan. Sauté the onions until golden yellow.
  3. 3. Wash the basil and thyme, shake them dry, and pluck off the leaves. Cut the tofu into cubes.
  4. 4. Put the tomatoes, onions, olives, basil, thyme, and tofu into a tall container. Add four tablespoons of tomato oil and blend everything finely with a hand blender. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. 5. For each portion, take one and a half tablespoons of the spread, spread it on a slice of bread, and top with a slice of salami. Wash the cherry tomatoes and serve them alongside. (Store the remaining spread in the refrigerator and consume it within one week.)
