🍝 Asian Beef with Noodles

Ingredients
- 500 g beef (for quick frying)
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 cm ginger
- 0.5 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (dark)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 4 shallots
- 400 g broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp rice wine
- 250 g glass noodles
Instructions
- 1. Cook the glass noodles according to the package instructions.
- 2. Drain the noodles.
- 3. Cut the beef into thick strips.
- 4. Peel the garlic.
- 5. Peel the ginger.
- 6. Dice the garlic.
- 7. Dice the ginger.
- 8. Puree the garlic and ginger.
- 9. Mix the puree with the remaining marinade ingredients.
- 10. Place the beef in the marinade.
- 11. Let the beef marinate for at least 2 hours.
- 12. Wash the broccoli.
- 13. Remove the tough stems from the broccoli.
- 14. Peel the shallots.
- 15. Dice the shallots.
- 16. Remove the beef from the marinade.
- 17. Let the beef drain.
- 18. Store the marinade in a separate container.
- 19. Sear the beef in a wok or a frying pan.
- 20. Reduce the heat.
- 21. Simmer the beef for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- 22. Remove the beef from the pan.
- 23. Keep the beef warm.
- 24. Heat the oil in the pan.
- 25. Sauté the shallots and broccoli for about 4 minutes.
- 26. Stir frequently.
- 27. Mix the marinade with the rice wine.
- 28. Pour the marinade mixture into the pan.
- 29. Let the sauce simmer for another 5 minutes.
- 30. Add the beef and noodles to the pan.
- 31. Heat everything through again.
- 32. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 33. Serve the dish in small bowls.
