🍽️ Spicy Asian Dumplings

Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp peanut oil
- 4 spring onions
- 200 g chopped shrimp
- 0.5 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- seed oil (for the basket)
Instructions
- 1. Put flour, vinegar, oil, and about 150 milliliters of water into a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients into a soft and smooth dough.
- 3. Roll out the dough thinly.
- 4. Cut out round dough circles with a diameter of 8 to 10 centimeters.
- 5. Wash the spring onions and slice them into small rings.
- 6. Remove the hard ends of the spring onions.
- 7. Mix the spring onion rings with the shrimp.
- 8. Add the ginger, sesame oil, sugar, and salt to the filling.
- 9. Stir the filling well.
- 10. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
- 11. Fold the dough circles over the filling.
- 12. Fold the edges of the dumplings alternately into each other.
- 13. Press the edges firmly to create a zigzag seal.
- 14. Brush a bamboo steamer basket with oil.
- 15. Place the finished dumplings into the basket.
- 16. Hang the basket over a pot of boiling water.
- 17. Steam the dumplings for about 8 minutes.
- 18. Check if the dumplings are cooked through.
- 19. Serve the dumplings with a spicy chili dip.
