Ingredients
- 1 orange
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 300 g chicken breast fillet (2 chicken breast fillets)
- 0.5 lime
- 175 g silken tofu
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- salt
- pepper
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 spring onions
- 300 g small Chinese cabbage (0.5 small Chinese cabbage)
- 1 pink grapefruit
Instructions
- 1. Squeeze the halved orange. Boil 125 milliliters of the juice in a small pot until it reduces by half. Then stir in honey and soy sauce.
- 2. Wash the chicken meat and pat it dry. Cut it into cubes of about 1 centimeter.
- 3. Thread 3 or 4 pieces of meat onto small skewers and place them in a shallow baking dish. Pour the orange juice over them and let the skewers marinate in the refrigerator, covered with cling film, for at least 1 hour.
- 4. In the meantime, squeeze the lime. Mix silken tofu, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and 2 teaspoons of lime juice in a bowl.
- 5. Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a pan and let them cool briefly. Set aside 1 teaspoon and mix the rest into the tofu sauce.
- 6. Clean and wash the spring onions. Slice the white and light green parts into thin rings.
- 7. Clean and wash the Napa cabbage. Cut it into thin strips.
- 8. Peel the grapefruit thickly so that all white skin is removed. Cut the flesh into small pieces.
- 9. Mix the Napa cabbage, onions, grapefruit pieces, and tofu sauce. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes and then season with salt and pepper.
- 10. Drain the chicken skewers.
- 11. Heat a grill pan and fry the skewers in it over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Serve them on plates with the salad and sprinkle with the reserved sesame seeds.
