Ingredients
- 2 cm ginger
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 stalk lemongrass
- 6 sprigs cilantro
- 0.5 l peanut oil
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger root and the garlic clove.
- 2. Grate the ginger and the garlic very finely.
- 3. Mix the grated ingredients with the salt.
- 4. Let the mixture rest for one hour.
- 5. Wash the coriander leaves under running water.
- 6. Gently pat the coriander leaves dry with a kitchen towel.
- 7. Take a clean bottle.
- 8. Put the grated ginger and garlic mixture, including the juice, into the bottle.
- 9. Peel the lemongrass stalk.
- 10. Cut off the hard ends from the lemongrass.
- 11. Remove the tough outer layer from the lemongrass.
- 12. Add the prepared lemongrass along with the coriander leaves to the bottle.
- 13. Pour the oil into the bottle.
- 14. Seal the bottle tightly.
- 15. Leave the bottle in a cool place for one week.
- 16. Pour the oil through a fine sieve.
- 17. Remove the solid ingredients from the oil.
- 18. Take a clean bottle for the finished oil.
- 19. Put a few fresh coriander leaves into the bottle.
- 20. Add a few small pieces of lemongrass to the bottle.
- 21. Fill the strained oil into the bottle.
- 22. Seal the bottle well.
