🍽️ Asian Burgers with Glazed Meatballs

Ingredients
- 4 spring onions
- 1 shallot
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 egg
- 350 g minced meat (mixed)
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the spring onions.
- 2. Trim off the tough ends of the spring onions.
- 3. Cut the spring onions into pieces about 5 to 6 centimeters long.
- 4. Peel the shallot.
- 5. Peel the garlic clove.
- 6. Finely dice the shallot and garlic.
- 7. Mix the finely diced onion and garlic mixture with the minced meat.
- 8. Add the grated ginger and the egg to the meat mixture.
- 9. Fold in enough breadcrumbs until the mixture is easy to shape.
- 10. Shape the meat mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- 11. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan.
- 12. Fry the patties in the hot pan for about 6 minutes until golden brown.
- 13. Turn the patties while frying so that both sides cook evenly.
- 14. Add the teriyaki sauce, 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, and the honey to the pan.
- 15. Let the patties cook in the sauce for another 1 to 2 minutes.
- 16. Pour the sauce over the patties repeatedly to glaze them.
- 17. Heat the remaining oil in a second pan.
- 18. Fry the prepared spring onions in the oil for about 5 minutes.
- 19. Fry the spring onions until they are golden brown and soft.
- 20. Slice the burger buns horizontally in half.
- 21. Toast the cut sides of the buns in the oven or pan until golden brown.
- 22. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the buns.
- 23. Place the glazed patties on the buns.
- 24. Distribute the fried spring onions over the patties.
- 25. Place the top half of the bun on as a lid.
- 26. Serve the burgers immediately while warm.
