  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the spring onions.
  2. 2. Trim off the tough ends of the spring onions.
  3. 3. Cut the spring onions into pieces about 5 to 6 centimeters long.
  4. 4. Peel the shallot.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic clove.
  6. 6. Finely dice the shallot and garlic.
  7. 7. Mix the finely diced onion and garlic mixture with the minced meat.
  8. 8. Add the grated ginger and the egg to the meat mixture.
  9. 9. Fold in enough breadcrumbs until the mixture is easy to shape.
  10. 10. Shape the meat mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  11. 11. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan.
  12. 12. Fry the patties in the hot pan for about 6 minutes until golden brown.
  13. 13. Turn the patties while frying so that both sides cook evenly.
  14. 14. Add the teriyaki sauce, 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, and the honey to the pan.
  15. 15. Let the patties cook in the sauce for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  16. 16. Pour the sauce over the patties repeatedly to glaze them.
  17. 17. Heat the remaining oil in a second pan.
  18. 18. Fry the prepared spring onions in the oil for about 5 minutes.
  19. 19. Fry the spring onions until they are golden brown and soft.
  20. 20. Slice the burger buns horizontally in half.
  21. 21. Toast the cut sides of the buns in the oven or pan until golden brown.
  22. 22. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the buns.
  23. 23. Place the glazed patties on the buns.
  24. 24. Distribute the fried spring onions over the patties.
  25. 25. Place the top half of the bun on as a lid.
  26. 26. Serve the burgers immediately while warm.
