🍽️ Crispy Artichokes with Cheese Filling

Ingredients
- 4 medium artichokes
- salt
- lemon juice
- 80 g freshly grated Parmesan
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 6 tbsp whipping cream
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g. basil, parsley, oregano, thyme)
- pepper (from the mill)
- butter (for the dish)
- 30 g butter
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the artichokes under running water.
- 2. Remove the tough outer leaves.
- 3. Cut the artichokes in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the fuzzy choke (the bristles) from the center.
- 5. Fill a pot with water and add some salt and a splash of lemon juice.
- 6. Boil the prepared artichokes in it for about 15 minutes.
- 7. Turn on the oven and set it to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 8. Put the Parmesan into a bowl.
- 9. Add the breadcrumbs.
- 10. Pour in the cream.
- 11. Peel the garlic.
- 12. Press the garlic into the mixture.
- 13. Stir in the herbs.
- 14. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 15. Take the artichokes out of the cooking water.
- 16. Let them drain well.
- 17. Grease a baking dish.
- 18. Place the artichokes in the dish.
- 19. Fill the cheese mixture into the artichokes.
- 20. Place butter flakes on top.
- 21. Bake the artichokes in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 22. Take the dish out of the oven.
- 23. Portion the artichokes onto plates.
- 24. Serve the dish.
