  1. 1. Rinse the artichokes under running water.
  2. 2. Remove the tough outer leaves.
  3. 3. Cut the artichokes in half lengthwise.
  4. 4. Remove the fuzzy choke (the bristles) from the center.
  5. 5. Fill a pot with water and add some salt and a splash of lemon juice.
  6. 6. Boil the prepared artichokes in it for about 15 minutes.
  7. 7. Turn on the oven and set it to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  8. 8. Put the Parmesan into a bowl.
  9. 9. Add the breadcrumbs.
  10. 10. Pour in the cream.
  11. 11. Peel the garlic.
  12. 12. Press the garlic into the mixture.
  13. 13. Stir in the herbs.
  14. 14. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Take the artichokes out of the cooking water.
  16. 16. Let them drain well.
  17. 17. Grease a baking dish.
  18. 18. Place the artichokes in the dish.
  19. 19. Fill the cheese mixture into the artichokes.
  20. 20. Place butter flakes on top.
  21. 21. Bake the artichokes in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  22. 22. Take the dish out of the oven.
  23. 23. Portion the artichokes onto plates.
  24. 24. Serve the dish.
