🍽️ Apricot-Almond Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg apricots
- 0.5 untreated lemon (juice)
- 1 kg jam sugar (1:1)
- 300 g peeled whole almond kernels
Instructions
- 1. Pour boiling water over the apricots.
- 2. Immediately rinse the fruits with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 3. Remove the skin from the apricots.
- 4. Cut the fruits in half.
- 5. Remove the pits.
- 6. Dice the flesh into small cubes.
- 7. Mix the cubes with the lemon juice and the sugar.
- 8. Place the mixture in a pot.
- 9. Let the mixture simmer vigorously for 5 minutes over medium heat.
- 10. Add the almonds to the jam.
- 11. Fill the hot mixture into prepared, clean jars.
- 12. Seal the jars tightly.
- 13. Turn the jars upside down for 10 minutes.
- 14. Turn the jars right side up.
- 15. Let the jam cool down completely.
