  1. 1. Cut the apricots into fine cubes.
  2. 2. Put the butter, honey, and sugar into a small saucepan.
  3. 3. Heat the mixture on the stove until it starts to boil.
  4. 4. Rinse half of the orange under hot water.
  5. 5. Dry the orange with a cloth.
  6. 6. Grate one teaspoon of the orange peel.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice out of the orange.
  8. 8. Set aside one tablespoon of the orange juice.
  9. 9. Stir the warm butter mixture with the orange juice, the peel, the spelt flakes, the coconut flakes, the almonds, and the apricot cubes.
  10. 10. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  11. 11. Get a moist rubber spatula ready.
  12. 12. Spread the mixture evenly on the tray.
  13. 13. Make sure the layer is about 1 to 1.5 centimeters thick.
  14. 14. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
  15. 15. Place the tray on the middle rack.
  16. 16. Bake the bars for about 25 minutes.
  17. 17. Let the tray cool completely after baking.
  18. 18. Cut the cooled slab into individual bars.
