🍰 Juicy Apricot Dumplings

Ingredients
- 200 g apricots (pitted)
- 3 tbsp white wine
- 300 g flour
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 1 cup yogurt
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 50 g butter
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Cut the apricots into small cubes.
- 2. Place the apricot cubes into a pot.
- 3. Pour in the white wine.
- 4. Heat the mixture while stirring constantly until it boils.
- 5. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 6. Let the apricot mixture cool down completely.
- 7. Mix the flour with the yeast and the ground nutmeg.
- 8. Warm the yogurt briefly in a bowl with hot water.
- 9. Whisk the lukewarm yogurt with sugar, salt, and egg until the mixture is smooth.
- 10. Gently fold the yogurt-egg mixture into the flour mixture.
- 11. Knead the dough until it no longer sticks to your fingers.
- 12. Shape the dough into a long roll.
- 13. Divide the roll into 12 equal pieces.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 15. Take a piece of dough and fill it with some of the cooled apricot mixture.
- 16. Shape the filled dough piece into a round ball.
- 17. Repeat this with all the dough pieces.
- 18. Melt some butter in a baking dish.
- 19. Place the dough balls close together in the dish.
- 20. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
- 21. Set the oven to 180 degrees Celsius again.
- 22. Brush the dumplings with melted butter.
- 23. Bake the dumplings for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- 24. Remove the dish from the oven.
- 25. Turn the dumplings out onto a plate immediately.
- 26. Dust the finished dumplings with powdered sugar.
