  3. 3. Whisk the eggs, cane sugar, apple puree, and a pinch of salt until creamy.
  4. 4. Stir the cooled butter into the egg mixture.
  5. 5. Add the baking powder to the mixture.
  6. 6. Sieve the flour.
  7. 7. Stir the sieved flour into the mixture until a smooth batter forms.
  8. 8. Peel the apples.
  9. 9. Cut the apples into quarters.
  10. 10. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
  11. 11. Slice the apple pieces into thin slices.
  12. 12. Take 400 grams of the apple slices.
  13. 13. Gently fold the apple slices into the batter.
  14. 14. Lightly grease a springform pan.
  15. 15. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  16. 16. Arrange the remaining apple slices in rosette shapes on top of the batter.
  17. 17. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (convection: 180 degrees; gas: setting 3).
  18. 18. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes.
  19. 19. Cover the cake with aluminum foil after 20 minutes.
  20. 20. Continue baking the cake for another 20 minutes.
  21. 21. Remove the cake from the oven.
  22. 22. Carefully release the cake from the pan.

  24. 24. Mix powdered sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
