🍽️ Homemade Apple Fruit Spread

Ingredients
- 400 g apple peels and apple trimmings (without seeds)
- 100 g coconut blossom sugar
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 0.5 tsp agar-agar
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the apple peels and any remaining apple pieces.
- 2. Cut the apple pieces into small cubes.
- 3. Place the apple cubes, peels, coconut blossom sugar, lemon juice, and 50 milliliters of water into a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
- 5. Let the mixture simmer gently over low heat for about 20 minutes.
- 6. Puree the soft mixture finely with a hand blender just before the cooking time is up.
- 7. Stir the agar-agar (a plant-based gelling agent) into the boiling liquid.
- 8. Let the mixture cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
- 9. Immediately fill the boiling hot mixture into the previously boiled, clean jars.
- 10. Seal the jars right away after filling.
- 11. Place the sealed jars upside down for about 15 minutes.
- 12. Let the jars cool down completely afterwards.
- 13. Store the finished spread in the refrigerator, where it will keep for 3 to 4 months.
