  1. 1. Wash the apples, cut them in half, and remove the cores. Grate the flesh finely into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Stir in the hazelnuts, raisins, cocoa, cinnamon, flour, and baking powder.
  2. 2. Grease a loaf pan (24 cm long) with butter and pour in the batter. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 °C (convection 180 °C; gas mark 3) for about 50 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer. Remove the bread, let it cool, and slice it.
