🍰 Crunchy Apple Marzipan Dessert

Ingredients
- 8 sour apples (e.g. Boskop)
- 400 g marzipan base
- 200 g sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the apples completely.
- 3. Halve the apples.
- 4. Remove the core from the apple halves.
- 5. Cut the apples into wedges.
- 6. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
- 7. Dry the lemon.
- 8. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 9. Moisten the apple wedges with the lemon juice.
- 10. Crumble the marzipan base roughly.
- 11. Finely chop the orange zest.
- 12. Place the marzipan pieces in a bowl.
- 13. Add the sliced almonds.
- 14. Add the orange zest.
- 15. Mix the ingredients gently.
- 16. Do not knead the mixture.
- 17. Take a baking dish or eight small ramekins.
- 18. Fill the dish with the apple wedges.
- 19. Distribute the marzipan mixture evenly over the apples.
- 20. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- 21. Bake the dessert for about 30 minutes.
- 22. Ensure the surface turns golden brown.
- 23. Remove the dish from the oven.
- 24. Let the dessert cool briefly.
- 25. Dust the dessert with powdered sugar.
