🍽️ Fruity and Spicy Apple-Mango Chutney

Ingredients
- 2 Mangoes
- 1 Apple
- 3 fresh red chili peppers
- 2 dried red chili peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- Juice of one Lemon
- 100 ml Apple cider vinegar
- 0.5 tsp grated Ginger
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- Cayenne pepper
- 50 g Maple syrup
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
Instructions
- 1. Peel the mangoes.
- 2. Cut the fruits in half and carefully remove the flesh from the pit.
- 3. Cut the mango flesh into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Wash the apple thoroughly and dry it.
- 5. Peel the apple.
- 6. Cut it into quarters and remove the core.
- 7. Cut the apple flesh into small cubes.
- 8. Wash the fresh chili peppers.
- 9. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- 10. Cut the chili into small cubes.
- 11. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 12. Chop the garlic finely.
- 13. Put the lemon juice, vinegar, chopped garlic, ginger, salt, and cayenne pepper into a pot.
- 14. Heat the mixture over medium heat.
- 15. Bring it to a brief boil.
- 16. Add the mango flesh to the pot.
- 17. Add the fresh chili cubes.
- 18. Add the whole dried chili peppers to the pot.
- 19. Stir everything gently.
- 20. Let the chutney simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- 21. Wait until the mango and apple pieces are soft.
- 22. Add the maple syrup.
- 23. Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of cold water until smooth.
- 24. Stir this mixture into the chutney to thicken it.
- 25. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 26. Fill the hot apple-mango chutney into prepared jars.
