Ingredients
- 6 ripe medium tomatoes
- 300 g buffalo mozzarella (or regular mozzarella)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bunch arugula
- 200 g Parma ham (in thin slices)
- 150 g black olives
- 0.5 honeydew melon
- 1 small red chili
- 1 small jar pickled squid
- 1 bunch basil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds.
- 3. Slice the mozzarella into rounds as well.
- 4. Pluck the fresh basil leaves from the stems.
- 5. Remove the seeds from the melon.
- 6. Cut the melon into wedges.
- 7. Wash the arugula (rocket).
- 8. Shake the arugula dry.
- 9. Remove tough stems from the arugula.
- 10. Wash the peppers.
- 11. Slice the peppers into rings.
- 12. Let the squid drain well.
- 13. Arrange the tomato slices in an overlapping pattern on four plates.
- 14. Arrange the mozzarella slices in an overlapping pattern on the plates.
- 15. Season the slices with salt.
- 16. Season the slices with pepper.
- 17. Drizzle the slices with olive oil.
- 18. Sprinkle the basil leaves on top.
- 19. Decoratively arrange the ham on the plate.
- 20. Decoratively arrange the olives on the plate.
- 21. Decoratively arrange the arugula on the plate.
- 22. Decoratively arrange the melon wedges on the plate.
- 23. Decoratively arrange the squid on the plate.
- 24. Decoratively arrange the pepper rings on the plate.
