Ingredients
- 8 ripe tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs basil
- 1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
- 8 slices ciabatta
- 170 g pitted olives
- 50 g Italian salami
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes, cut them into quarters, remove the seeds, and dice the flesh into small pieces. Place the vegetables in a bowl. Peel the onion and garlic, chop them very finely, and stir them into the tomatoes.
- 2. Wash the basil, shake off excess water, chop the leaves coarsely, and mix them with vinegar, oil, and a pinch of salt into the tomato mixture. Let the mixture sit for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3. Toast the ciabatta bread. Place the olives and salami into small bowls. Serve everything together with the tomato mixture.
