  1. 1. Press the tofu dry and cut into thick slices. Lightly coat in flour and fry in oil until golden brown on both sides. Remove them.
  2. 2. Dice the onion and carrots finely. Sweat them in the pan drippings for 5 minutes until soft.
  3. 3. Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze with the white wine. Reduce the wine for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the broth and the fried tofu back to the pan. Simmer the dish on low heat for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. 5. Mix finely chopped parsley, garlic, and lemon zest for the gremolata. Mix this with the horseradish.
  6. 6. Serve the tofu steaks with the sauce and a dollop of the horseradish gremolata on top.
