🍗 Easy Veal Cutlet-Style Tofu Steaks (Ossobuco Style)

Ingredients
- 4 Stück (je 150 g) Firm Tofu (or Veal Shanks)
- 100 ml White Wine
- 200 ml Chicken or Vegetable Broth
- 20 g Tomato Paste
- 100 g Carrots
- 100 g Onion
- 40 g Horseradish Cream Sauce (instead of marrow)
- 1 Stück Lemon
- 2 Zehen Garlic
- 20 g Parsley
- 30 ml Oil for frying
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu dry and cut into thick slices. Lightly coat in flour and fry in oil until golden brown on both sides. Remove them.
- 2. Dice the onion and carrots finely. Sweat them in the pan drippings for 5 minutes until soft.
- 3. Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze with the white wine. Reduce the wine for 2 minutes.
- 4. Add the broth and the fried tofu back to the pan. Simmer the dish on low heat for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- 5. Mix finely chopped parsley, garlic, and lemon zest for the gremolata. Mix this with the horseradish.
- 6. Serve the tofu steaks with the sauce and a dollop of the horseradish gremolata on top.
