Ingredients
- 500g Mascarpone
- 200ml Coffee (strong, cooled)
- 100g Sugar
- 3 Eggs (fresh, separated)
- 200g Ladyfingers
- 2 EL Cocoa powder
- 2 EL rum (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar in a bowl until creamy.
- 2. Gradually stir the mascarpone into the egg yolk-sugar mixture until smooth.
- 3. Whip the egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the mascarpone cream.
- 4. Pour the coffee into a shallow dish and add rum if using. Quickly dip the ladyfingers and layer them in a dish.
- 5. Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the ladyfingers.
- 6. Repeat the layering with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
- 7. Dust with cocoa powder before serving and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
