  3. 3. Cut the croissants into cubes and place them in the baking dish.
  4. 4. Thoroughly whisk the milk, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest in a bowl.
  5. 5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissant cubes.
  6. 6. Press the croissants down slightly with a spoon so they absorb all the liquid.
  7. 7. Distribute the berries evenly over the top surface.
  8. 8. Bake the pudding for 35 to 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
