1 pkt. puff pastry (rectangular (275 g, from the refrigerated section))
a little milk (for brushing)
2 tomato(es) (aromatic, sliced into 1/2 cm thick slices)
pepper, black (freshly ground)
1 large clove(s) of garlic (finely diced)
olive oil
to taste basil (chopped)
Fleur de Sel
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the hot air setting.
2. Take the puff pastry out of the package and cut it into squares of about 4 x 4 cm. Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Lightly brush them with milk, place tomato slices on top (make sure to leave a small border), and season with pepper.
3. Place the tray in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake the squares for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden brown.
4. Use the waiting time to mix diced garlic with olive oil and basil to form a paste.
5. Sprinkle the freshly baked squares with Fleur de Sel (fine sea salt) and then spread the garlic-basil paste over them.
6. Serve the snacks either immediately while warm or enjoy them cold.
