Ingredients
- 300 g Puff Pastry
- 1 Egg
- 20 g Butter
- 10 g Sugar
- 1 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Take the puff pastry from the freezer and let it thaw completely at room temperature.
- 2. Preheat the oven or air fryer to 180 °C. This is important for crispiness.
- 3. Lightly dust your work surface with flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
- 4. Roll out the puff pastry flat, but don't make it too thin.
- 5. Cut the dough into 12 equal-sized triangles. This will make 2 portions later.
- 6. Cream together the 20 g butter, 10 g sugar, and 1 g salt until soft.
- 7. Spread a dollop of the butter-sugar mixture onto the center of each triangle.
- 8. Fold the point of the triangle over the filling and roll the sides in tightly.
- 9. Place the croissants onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them.
- 10. Whisk the egg and lightly brush the croissants with it for a golden-brown color.
- 11. Put the baking sheet into the preheated air fryer at 180 °C.
- 12. Bake the croissants for approximately 12 minutes, until golden brown and risen.
- 13. Remove the baking sheet and let the croissants rest for 2 minutes.
- 14. Serve the croissants warm. They are perfect when crispy and golden brown.
