Ingredients
- 4 mittelgroße Potatoes
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 TL Garlic powder
- 1 TL Paprika powder
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the Airfryer to 200 °C. This takes about 3 min. Important: A preheated device ensures immediate crispiness.
- 2. Wash the 4 potatoes thoroughly under running water. Do not peel them; the skin protects against drying out.
- 3. Cut each potato lengthwise into 4 equal wedges. This yields about 16 pieces per potato.
- 4. Dry the wedges with a kitchen towel. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness.
- 5. Place the 16 potato wedges in a large bowl. Make sure they have space.
- 6. Pour the 2 tbsp olive oil over the wedges. The oil conducts heat for browning.
- 7. Sprinkle the 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp paprika powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp pepper over it.
- 8. Toss the wedges by hand until they shine evenly. Avoid clumps.
- 9. Place the wedges in the Airfryer basket in a single layer. Do not stack!
- 10. Bake the wedges at 200 °C for 20 min. The air must be able to circulate freely.
- 11. Open the basket and shake it vigorously. This ensures all sides brown evenly.
- 12. Return the basket and bake for another 10 min at 200 °C. Now it gets really crispy.
- 13. Check the crispiness: A wedge should bend slightly but not break.
- 14. Remove the wedges carefully. They are very hot. Let them rest for 2 min.
- 15. Arrange the wedges on a plate. Perfect: Golden-brown color and a crunch sound when biting.
