  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry them in a pot with olive oil.
  2. 2. Add the ground meat and brown it. Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Wash the zucchini and slice it into long, thin strips. Place half of the zucchini strips in a baking dish.
  4. 4. Spread the meat sauce evenly over the zucchini layer. Place the lasagna sheets on top.
  5. 5. Mix the ricotta with half of the grated parmesan. Spread this mixture over the sheet layer.
  6. 6. Repeat the layers with zucchini, remaining sauce, sheets, and ricotta mixture. Top with the remaining parmesan and basil.
  7. 7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes.
