  2. 2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
  3. 3. Fry the bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy.
  4. 4. Add the butter to the pot and sauté the leek for 5 minutes until soft.
  5. 5. Add the potato cubes and fry them for 2 minutes with the mixture.
  6. 6. Deglaze everything with the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  7. 7. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and simmer the soup for 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  8. 8. Puree the soup until smooth using a hand blender.
  9. 9. Stir in the cream and season with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Serve the soup in deep bowls topped with the crispy bacon.
