🍄 Creamy Turkey Mushroom Rice Bowl with Basil

Ingredients
- 480 g Turkey breast strips
- 200 g Basmati rice
- 300 g Button mushrooms
- 100 g Onion
- 100 ml Cream (at least 20% fat)
- 200 ml Beef broth
- 20 g Butter
- 10 g Fresh basil
- 8 g Salt
- 3 g White pepper
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice and cook it in salted water according to package instructions until done. Keep it warm.
- 2. Wash the button mushrooms and slice them. Peel the onion and cut it into fine dice.
- 3. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the onions until translucent, about 3 minutes.
- 4. Add the mushrooms and fry them until golden brown, until they have lost their moisture and are slightly roasted.
- 5. Add the turkey strips and fry them with the mushrooms until they are brown on the outside.
- 6. Deglaze the pan with the beef broth. Let the liquid reduce for 2 minutes.
- 7. Stir in the cream and let the sauce simmer for 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 8. Season the sauce with salt and white pepper. Coarsely chop the fresh basil and stir it in.
- 9. Serve the turkey mushroom sauce over the warm basmati rice in a bowl.
