  1. 1. Rinse the basmati rice and cook it in salted water according to package instructions until done. Keep it warm.
  2. 2. Wash the button mushrooms and slice them. Peel the onion and cut it into fine dice.
  3. 3. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the onions until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the mushrooms and fry them until golden brown, until they have lost their moisture and are slightly roasted.
  5. 5. Add the turkey strips and fry them with the mushrooms until they are brown on the outside.
  6. 6. Deglaze the pan with the beef broth. Let the liquid reduce for 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Stir in the cream and let the sauce simmer for 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. 8. Season the sauce with salt and white pepper. Coarsely chop the fresh basil and stir it in.
  9. 9. Serve the turkey mushroom sauce over the warm basmati rice in a bowl.
