  1. 1. Wash the fennel, remove the hard bottom end, and grate the whole bulb coarsely on a grater. Prepare the chicken broth according to package instructions.
  2. 2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Sauté the grated fennel over medium heat for 8 minutes until soft.
  3. 3. Finely chop the garlic and add it to the fennel. Sauté for 1 minute longer.
  4. 4. Pour the chicken broth and sour cream into the skillet. Stir and let the sauce simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Cook the pasta in salted water al dente. Lift the pasta directly into the sauce with tongs.
  6. 6. Mix the pasta thoroughly with the sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and pepper. Serve immediately.
