  1. 1. Sauté the garlic and dried herbs for 1 minute in the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the drained chickpeas and cook for another 2 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  3. 3. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 100 ml of the pasta water before draining.
  4. 4. Add the fresh spinach to the pan with the chickpeas and stir until wilted (about 1 minute).
  5. 5. Add the drained pasta and 50 ml of the reserved pasta water to the pan. Stir vigorously to create a creamy sauce.
  6. 6. Remove the pan from the heat and mix in the grated Parmesan. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
