Ingredients
- 500 g apples (peeled, cored)
- 200 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 egg(s)
- 300 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 tsp, level cinnamon
- 100 g walnuts, chopped
- optional powdered sugar (or chocolate coating)
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter, sugar, and eggs with a mixer or whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- 2. Sift the flour and baking powder directly into the bowl and stir them in gently.
- 3. Add the cinnamon, then carefully fold in the finely diced apples and walnuts until everything is evenly distributed.
- 4. Fill the prepared muffin tins with the finished batter.
- 5. Place the muffins in a preheated oven and bake them at 180 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 6. Be sure to perform the skewer test, as baking times can vary depending on your oven type.
- 7. Allow the muffins to cool down completely.
- 8. Dust them with powdered sugar or cover them with a chocolate glaze if you wish.
- 9. This recipe yields about 20 to 24 muffins.
- 10. You can also use two 12-cup muffin trays and bake the muffins simultaneously at 160 degrees Celsius using convection (fan) heat.
