🍽️ Festive Mulled Wine Cherry Jam

Ingredients
- 2 glasses sour cherries
- 0.25 Liter cherry juice
- 0.25 Liter wine (cherry wine)
- 1 bag mulled wine spice
- 4 cl Amaretto
- 1 cinnamon stick(s)
- 500 g jam sugar 2:1
Instructions
- 1. Drain the cherries and catch the juice in a container.
- 2. Measure out exactly one quarter liter (250 milliliters) of the juice.
- 3. Save the remaining juice for other uses or discard it.
- 4. Place the cherries, the measured juice, the wine, and the cinnamon stick into a pot.
- 5. Heat the mixture vigorously, but do not let it boil.
- 6. Add the mulled wine spice bag to the pot.
- 7. Let the spices steep in the warm liquid for 15 minutes.
- 8. Remove the cinnamon stick and the spice bag from the mixture.
- 9. Stir the Amaretto liqueur into the cherry mixture.
- 10. Puree the mixture smoothly with a blender or immersion blender.
- 11. Add the pectin sugar to the pureed cherry mixture.
- 12. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 13. Boil the jam vigorously, exactly according to the sugar package instructions.
- 14. Make sure to use a large pot, as the jam can splash easily.
- 15. Perform a setting test to check if the jam is firm.
- 16. Fill the hot jam immediately into jars that have been rinsed with hot water.
- 17. Seal the jars tightly.
- 18. Place the sealed jars upside down to cool.
