  5. 5. Wash the bell pepper and chili.
  6. 6. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and chili.
  7. 7. Dice the bell pepper and chili.
  8. 8. Wash the tomatoes.
  9. 9. Dice the tomatoes.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic.
  11. 11. Chop the garlic finely.
  12. 12. Heat the oil in a pan.
  13. 13. Sauté the bacon cubes until they become translucent.
  14. 14. Add the sausages and onions.
  15. 15. Brown everything.
  16. 16. Stir in the tomato paste.
  17. 17. Roast the tomato paste briefly.
  18. 18. Add the remaining vegetables and garlic.
  19. 19. Sauté everything lightly for three to five minutes.
  20. 20. Deglaze the mixture with the broth and crème fraîche.
  21. 21. Bring it to a boil.
  22. 22. Add thyme, rosemary, and a bay leaf.
  23. 23. Simmer everything for about fifteen to twenty minutes over low heat.

  26. 26. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
  27. 27. Let the sauce reduce a bit more.
  28. 28. Thicken the sauce with a sauce thickener if desired.
  29. 29. Fold in the chive rolls.
  30. 30. Let the dish rest for five minutes without heat.
  31. 31. Serve the goulash with noodles or rice.
