  1. 1. Put all ingredients into your stand mixer and knead until a smooth, uniform dough forms. If you do not have a machine, mix roughly with a hand mixer and dough hook, then finish kneading by hand.
  2. 2. You can chill the dough for later use, but it is also fine to work with it immediately. Roll out portions on a floured surface until thin, cut out Christmas shapes, and place the cookies on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  3. 3. Bake the cookies in batches at 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat (preheat the oven first) until golden yellow. This takes about 8 to 12 minutes, depending on your oven's heat.
