🍽️ Crispy Puff Pastry Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 1 pkt. puff pastry (rectangular (275 g, from the refrigerated section))
- a little milk (for brushing)
- 2 tomato(es) (aromatic, sliced into 1/2 cm thick slices)
- pepper, black (freshly ground)
- 1 large clove(s) of garlic (finely diced)
- olive oil
- to taste basil (chopped)
- Fleur de Sel
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the hot air setting.
- 2. Take the puff pastry out of the package and cut it into squares of about 4 x 4 cm. Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Lightly brush them with milk, place tomato slices on top (make sure to leave a small border), and season with pepper.
- 3. Place the tray in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake the squares for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- 4. Use the waiting time to mix diced garlic with olive oil and basil to form a paste.
- 5. Sprinkle the freshly baked squares with Fleur de Sel (fine sea salt) and then spread the garlic-basil paste over them.
- 6. Serve the snacks either immediately while warm or enjoy them cold.
