  4. 4. Follow the cooking time listed on the package instructions.
  5. 5. Whisk the egg yolk in a bowl with the cream.
  6. 6. Stir the grated Parmesan into the egg mixture.
  7. 7. Season the sauce with salt and a generous amount of freshly ground pepper.
  8. 8. Drain the cooked spaghetti, but leave them slightly moist.
  9. 9. Place the hot pasta directly back into the warm cooking pot.
  10. 10. Place the pot on a turned-off stove burner.
  11. 11. Pour the egg sauce immediately over the pasta.
  12. 12. Fold in the crispy ham cubes.
  13. 13. Stir everything vigorously until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
